Goodyear Longest Commute: Rules


	PRIZES: Chauffeur service for a day. A Gas card including free car washes. Free oil changes A brand new set of Goodyear tires A GPS System. RULES AND REGULATIONS: The Goodyear Longest Commute Contest (The Contest) is open to all residents of Canada minus Quebec who hold a valid driver’s license in their province, and travel by vehicle, to work. Commute distance will be measured and validated as the most direct route from home address to place of work address. After home address and work address are entered, the site will calculate the distance between the two for you. The winning entrant will be selected as the person who travels the farthest distance from home direct to his/her place of work by vehicle. Work address and Home address must be within Canada. Entrants must submit a valid home address and valid work address. To select finalists and a winner, Goodyear Canada will require proof of home and work addresses before any prizes are redeemed. Entrants must be employed by their employer during the time of the contest. Goodyear will not be responsible for any costs involved in travel/commute to the place of work. All participants agree to permit Goodyear Canada Inc., Environics Communications Inc., SG Solutions Inc., Netmosphere Design Inc. and Due North Communications Inc. to utilize their names, addresses and images in the promotion of the challenge without charge, further permission or restriction. Employees and family members of Goodyear Canada Inc. and any of its dealers, agents or associated suppliers are ineligible to participate in The Contest. To enter, participants must: access the Goodyear Longest Commute website; complete the online registration form during the times of the Contest (beginning September 15, 2008 at 5:00 am ET and closing November 30 at 11:59 pm ET) include their full name, home address, work address, telephone number and email address (one entry per contestant only); provide the exact distance traveled one way from home to their place of employment in kilometers. Must have worked at their place of employment for at least 3 months Must work at least 4 days a week Must commute a minimum of 3 days a week to and from work Entries received after midnight (12:00 a.m. ET) on December 1 2008, will not be eligible for The Contest or the grand prize. Contestants may submit questions by email to commute@goodyearredemption.com in relation to the contest. Goodyear Canada or SG Solutions are not obligated to answer any questions. Goodyear Canada reserves the right to cancel any submission at any time. The winning contestant will be notified by telephone. At least five attempts will be made to contact the winner by telephone during Goodyear Canada's regular business hours during the week of December 1st, 2008. Proof of home address and work address will be required in order to validate the distance traveled and for the winner to receive his/her prize. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Contest Rules are subject to disqualification at the sole and exclusive discretion of Goodyear Canada and/or its partners. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions except at Goodyear Canada's and/or its partners’ sole and exclusive discretion. Goodyear Canada reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value if any component of the prize cannot be awarded as described. All decisions of Goodyear Canada are final and binding in any and all matters relating to this contest. Goodyear Canada reserves the right to terminate or amend this contest at any time without prior notice, if it considers that any factor may potentially interfere with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Contest Rules. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. This contest is not available for commercial vehicles. All decisions made by Goodyear Canada and/or its partners are FINAL. Any attempt by an entrant or any other person to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Goodyear Canada Inc. reserves the right to claim damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law and without limitation, to immediately disqualify the entrant from the Contest. Limitations of liability: By entering, entrants acknowledge and agree that Goodyear Canada Inc., its officers, directors and employees (the “releasees”) shall not be responsible for, and entrants shall hold them harmless from, any and all claims, damages, including compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or other damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (“losses”) with respect to or in any way arising from or in connection with the contest or related prizes. Goodyear Canada Inc. and releasees are not responsible for any losses in connection with (i) incorrect or inaccurate information for any reason, including if caused by web site users or by any of the equipment including the kiosks or programming associated with or utilized in the game or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the game, (ii) problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or communications line failure, computer on-line-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment (kiosks), software, data transmission failure of e-mail, or any technical problems or traffic congestion, (iii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries or (iv) damages to entrants or to any other person, including damages to their computer system, related to or resulting from entering, participating or downloading materials in this contest. For greater certainty, Goodyear Canada Inc. is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, incomprehensible or misdirected entries, bugs, failures in servers, hardware or software transmission failure or loss, delayed or corrupted data transmission. If, for any reason, the contest cannot run as planned or the prizes cannot be awarded, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Goodyear Canada Inc. which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Goodyear Canada Inc. reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest at any time without prior notice to the entrants. In such event, no entrants will be selected or eligible to win any prize after the date of such termination and winners will not be provided with a substitute prize or cash equivalent.
